Ciao a tutti,
sicuramente avrete letto l'interessante dibattito sul forum relativo alla georeferenziazione di immagini di oggetti territoriali utilizzando l'applicativo ESRI Arcphoto (gratuito).
Piro, un lettore di blog e forum si è talmente interessato a questa particolare estensione che ha addirittura contattato Thomas Emge ideatore di Arcphoto.
Dallo scambio di mail fra Piro e Thomas è nato questo post, molto interessante, a firma di Piro che vorrei ringraziare.
Necessario: Licenza ArcGIS 9.x, Estensione Arcphoto
Livello di difficoltà:
Per utilizzare con ArcPhoto delle immagini scattate con una comune fotocamera digitale è necessario:
1.creare un file geodatabase
2.inserire in una cartella le immagini
3.inserire in un’altra cartella le immagini di fondo (tipo CTR o stradario)
Il percorso della cartella principale in cui saranno posizionate le cartelle di immagini e il geodatabase deve essere breve. (Es: C:\nomecartella)
Dopo aver impostato il sistema di riferimento del layer e attivato la barra degli strumenti di ArcPhoto, cliccate su “show/hide ArcPhoto Windows” apparirà “ArcPhoto Image Container”
Tasto destro sul “ArcPhoto Image Container” e dal menù a tendina che apparirà, selezionare “add photo” quindi aggiungere le immagini desiderate con una semplice selezione col mouse.
Le immagini non sono georeferenziate quindi caricare una CTR (o la mappa su cui volete che appaiano) e attraverso un semplice “drag – and – drop” si applicheranno le coordinate alle immagini ( dopo il drop appariranno dei coni rossi).
Nota bene: prima bisogna selezionare l’immagine e effettuare il “drag – and – drop”
Per essere sicuri di aver georeferenziato le immagini, selezionate l’immagine, poi tasto destro e dal menu a tendina selezionare “add XY location manually” così appariranno le coordinate precedentemente acquisite. Non fate nulla è solo un modo per visualizzare le coordinate.
Ora cliccate su “Snow ArcPhoto Location” (dalla toolbar di ArcPhoto) e appariranno delle frecce verdi sulla mappa e un layer nella TOC da cui si può personalizzare la freccia (colore, dimensione, ecc.)
Con lo strumento Show Photo Tooltips si possono far apparire le immagini linkate alle frecce, passando sopra a quest’ultime col mouse.
Nella “ArcPhoto Toolbox” selezionate e attivate (doppio click) il tool “Load Photo” per creare un shp puntuale in cui sono “collocate” le immagini.
A questo punto nella schermata del tool bisogna specificare:
1.il nome del file geodatabse creato inizialmente
2.il nome dello shp puntuale (che verrà creato durante la procedura)
3.la cartella dove sono contenute le immagini georeferenziate
4.dare OK
Nello shp appena ottenuto c’è un campo “Source Image File Name” in cui è segnato il percorso relativo alla collocazione delle immagini. Il campo è di tipo string ed è lungo 50 caratteri per questo conviene ridurre l’estensione del percorso come indicato all’inizio.
Lo shp puntuale sarà utilizzato nella fase successiva.
Prima di utilizzare il tool “Make Photo Layer” è necessario consentire la sovrascrizione di una shp in fase di Geoprocessing: dal menu principale di ArcMap “Tools > Options, Geoprocessing e check per l’opzione “Overwrite the outputs of geoprocessing operations”.
Il tool “Make Photo Layer” richiede il file puntuale precedentemente realizzato con “load Photo”
Da questa operazione si ottiene un nuovo shp che avrà come simbolo una freccia verde come il “ArcPhoto quick export” utilizzato all’inizio. Con questo file si potranno gestire e visualizzare i progetti realizzati più rapidamente

Un'ultima precisazione: prima di chiudere il file è consigliabile eliminare dalla TOC il "ArcPhoto quick export" shp perchè potrebbe dare dei problemi quando si riapre il file. Se serve si clicca nuovamente sulla freccia verde e si riottengono i cursori verdi sulla mappa. PIRO
